(And Why It Actually Sticks)
I get asked a lot what my actual weekly workout schedule looks like — not the aspirational version, but what really happens most weeks. So here it is.
This isn’t a rigid plan I force myself into. It’s the rhythm that’s actually stuck for me, built around how my week is structured and how I like to feel, not around what a fitness plan says I “should” be doing.
Weekends: my LEKFIT anchor
Saturday and Sunday mornings are when I do my LEKFIT sessions — usually Boost, Sessions, or Boost Encore. Weekends give me the time and headspace for a fuller session, and LEKFIT releases new filmed live classes to their streaming platform every day, so there’s always something different — I’m not doing the same class on repeat, and I feel like I am participating in a real class, which is honestly a big part of why I’ve stuck with it for almost 10 years.
Weekdays: working around a work-from-home schedule
During the week, I’m working from home, so my movement looks different. I start every morning with 10 minutes on my vibration plate – regardless of what else I a doing. I’ll usually fit in a 30-minute Echelon EX5s Connect Bike class on two days — enough to feel like real training without eating up the whole morning. The other days, I focus on getting steps in, spread throughout the day rather than trying to squeeze in one long session — my walking pad makes this easy to do without leaving my desk for long.
Why “movement every day,” not “workout every day”
This is the part I think matters most: I try to move every day if I can, but that doesn’t mean a structured workout every day. Some days it’s a full LEKFIT class. Some days it’s steps after meals or between meetings. The goal isn’t hitting a number — it’s how consistent movement makes me feel, and that’s been a much more sustainable measure than any rigid plan I’ve tried in the past.
My actual weekly grid
| Day | Activity |
|---|---|
| Monday | Echelon EX5s (30 min) + steps |
| Tuesday | Steps, light movement |
| Wednesday | Echelon EX5s (30 min) + steps |
| Thursday | Steps, light movement |
| Friday | Steps, light movement / rest |
| Saturday | LEKFIT Boost or Sessions |
| Sunday | LEKFIT Boost Encore |
(Save or pin this — it’s meant to be a quick reference, not a rulebook.)
The honest takeaway
None of this works because I’m following it perfectly. It works because it’s actually realistic for how I live and work — two focused sessions during the week, a proper LEKFIT session each weekend day, and movement filled in around all of it. If you’re trying to build something similar, I’d start there: build around your actual week, not someone else’s.
